Despite an injury-riddled college career and going undrafted in 2014, Tyler earned a rare three-day tryout with the Dallas Cowboys—and turned it into a roster spot, joining the elite 1% of players who beat the odds. He went on to enjoy a five-year NFL career, outlasting the league’s average lifespan and achieving what most only dream about.
Yet behind the success, Tyler wrestled with identity—struggling to feel accepted, battling insecurity, and carrying an internal void that no achievement could fill. His turning point came when he surrendered his life to Christ and discovered his true identity and purpose in Him.
Today, Tyler is dedicated to helping others do the same: guiding them in discovering their God-given identity, living purposefully, and reaching their full potential in all areas of life. Leveraging his NFL background, ministry experience, and MBA education, he highlights the similarities between high-achieving sports teams and successful businesses, demonstrating how timeless principles and effective leadership lead to lasting success.
I’ve had the honor of knowing Tyler Patmon not only as an athlete, husband, and father, but most importantly as a man after God’s own heart. After years of competing in professional football and facing challenges on the field, Tyler now channels that same focus and determination into sharing the Gospel, mentoring others, and inspiring the next generation to reflect Christ.
