BRAND STATEMENT
Tyler was born to two high school students in the small country town of Crescent, Oklahoma. As Tyler’s father began college and his mother was no longer in the picture, Tyler began his life under the roof of his grandparents and aunts, being raised as a part of a family of 5. At a young age, Tyler began shuttling between his grandparents and his father, experiencing various ethnic groups, communities, and economic environments. At a young age, Tyler’s identity began to be tested as he was constantly moving and being reminded that he was biracial, even though he had only lived with the black side of his family. As time passed, Tyler began to struggle with his identity and the value of who he was. He soon began trying to adopt the traits of those around him in order to gain approval, love, and respect. As he felt this identity struggle and began to see it in others, it created a drive within him to one day help people discover their distinguished identity and understand their worth and purpose on this earth.

BACKGROUND STORY
Tyler eventually found stability with his father and stepmother in Austin, TX, where he graduated from Vista Ridge High School. Despite struggling with his identity, Tyler always had a drive and determination to excel in everything he did, which was particularly evident on the football field, where his hard work led to great accomplishments. On the field was where Tyler felt most complete as he would receive that apporval, love, and respect for his performances. Tyler became the first Division 1 football player to receive a scholarship out of high school and went on to play college ball at the University of Kansas. After experiencing success on the field during his freshman year of college, Tyler suffered from multiple injuries, causing his performance to decline. Still struggling with his identity off the field, the one area where he was confident in his identity as an athlete was now beginning to align with his identity struggle.
This led Tyler to a constant mental battle between believing in himself and doubting his ability as a player. With a mix of his identity crisis, numerous injuries, and his drive to succeed Tyler began express himself in unhealthy ways. After a fight with a teammate and an argument with a coach during his junior year, Tyler received a text message from his coach telling him that he was kicked off the team. This was Tyler’s first moment to take a step back, look in the mirror, and decide that it was time to do something about his mental health and identity. This moment prompted him to embark on a journey of self-discovery, which began with strengthening his relationship with his Lord and Savior.
That spring, Tyler began taking steps to develop as a young man and discover who he was truly called to be. He worked out on his own and completed 18 credit hours to graduate, opening up the chance to transfer and play college football for one more year. Tyler and his father created his own highlight film and began sending out tapes to multiple schools. Despite teams questioning his character, Tyler was blessed to receive a scholarship from Oklahoma State University, where he played his final year of college ball. During his final year at Oklahoma State, Tyler had a successful year yet failed to reach his childhood dream of hearing his name called on draft day. Even after the draft, no one came to offer Tyler an undrafted free agent contract, and he was left with a 3-day tryout with the Dallas Cowboys. Due to his determination and a regrowth of confidence in his ability, Tyler was able to turn that 3-day tryout into a five-year NFL career. During his NFL career, Tyler continued to fight through his journey of discovering his identity, overcoming his mental hurdles of self-doubt, and developing his relationship with God. Following his fifth and final year in the NFL, Tyler completely gave his life to Christ and began to see the value in who God created him to be. He discovered how to walk in his distinguished identity and began to empower others to do the same.
